Broad Street Hilltown 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run (Draft)

Because our 11th annual event has to be done virtually this year, it will also be FREE (donations are accepted, and race shirts can be purchased). Stay involved safely during the pandemic by running your own 5K or 1-mile course anytime on August 5th or 6th, 2020, and submit a screenshot of your time/distance captured by a tracking app. Top male and female 5K runners will receive a $100 gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods, and medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female runners from each age category (12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). The top 3 boy and girl (12 and under only) 1-mile runners will receive Dairy Queen gift certificates. 100% of proceeds from donations will be provided to Pennridge FISH to support those particularly hit hard by the pandemic.

Details:

• Participation is FREE; there is no cost to register
• Donations (any amount) are accepted but not required
• Purchasing a race shirt is completely optional. Shirts will cost $15 plus processing fee. Shirts will be mailed to your address within 2 weeks after the event. 
• You can run ANY 5K or 1-mile course of your choosing
• Only those who complete their run between 12:00 AM August 5th and 11:59 PM August 6th (48 hour time period) will be eligible for an award
• Only runs recorded by a running app, such as Nike Run Club, Strava, or Garmin Connect, for example, will be eligible for an award; screen-shots from your app must be submitted to hasselblad120@gmail.com by 12 PM (noon) August 7th to be eligible
• Award winners will be announced August 7th by approximately 5 PM. Awards will be mailed to winners within 2 weeks after the event.
