Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk

We are looking forward to the 2024 Hoodlebug 5K Run & Fun Walk to be held Sunday, September 8, 2024. This is a race that has been held for years as part of the Homer City Business Association's Annual Fall Festival.  The race starts at 4:30 PM on the bridge on Main Street near Floodway Park, but plan to come early to enjoy the Festival activities.

The Hoodlebug 5K is an out and back race held mostly on the nearby Hoodlebug Trail.  Runners and walkers are welcome.  Bring the family.  Awards are available to the top three males and females, and to the top three males and females on five-year age groups starting at ages 12 and under through 70+  No separate walker awards.  

Race day registration opens at 3:00 PM at Floodway Park on the west end of Homer City, PA.  Pre-registration is encouraged.

Race t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by August 27th.  Shirts available after that date and on race day as supplies last.

Professional timing services provided by David Mapes Timing Service of Somerset, PA.

Masks should be worn before and after the race and social distancing is required according to CDC guidelines in effect at the time of the event.

Refunds will be only issued in the case of the event having to be cancelled.  No refunds or deferrals if the race is conducted.
