AN UPDATE FROM US:
We are officially making our 2nd Annual Resilient Service Member's Classic an un-event.
What does that mean? Basically, we are still inviting you to be a hero to local veterans through Outdoor Immersion, but without any of the bells and whistles. You can still register and run any of the course lengths, and you can still do so at Raccoon Creek State Park, if you'd like. (We heard from a few of our supporters that they're still planning on running the course on Veteran's Day.) We just won't be there with the food and the awards and the swag, due to state restrictions on in-person events at state parks.
If you don't want to run the race on your own, we encourage you to recruit a friend of family member to join you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you're in search of a running buddy. We are still running and paddling and hiking, etc. with local veterans. We're getting outdoors, and enjoying the fresh air and God's creation. There's plenty of space for physical distancing and we gather in very small groups for our programs.
If you aren't in the position to run or hike, we invite you to support our mission financially. The current culture is only magnifying the needs of the veterans in our community.
If you cannot give, please keep Outdoor Immersion and our veterans in prayer. Please keep in touch with us on our Facebook page, and tell your friends about us.
This year's challenges will make next year's celebrations even more special, and we look forward to that. In the meantime, we will continue to focus on the needs of the veterans that we serve. Thank you for your support.

ABOUT THE RACE
Outdoor Immersion announces the 2nd Annual Resilient Service Member Classic to celebrate Veteran’s Day weekend. We are aiming to bring together (virtually) 250 people for a 5k trail run/ walk, 10k trail race, and 20 mile trail race.
This is a virtual race! Because of PA State Park guidelines regarding Covid-19, we are unable to host the race at Raccoon Creek State Park as previously planned.
As a virtual participant, you will have the opportunity to run the distance that you chose on any date between September 11th and November 7th, and to submit your time online. We look forward to creating ways for you to be social with other supporters, even if it is not in the same physical space at the same time. We are doing our best to be social distanced but only physically, and we look forward to training alongside all of our participants!
Once you choose your distance and register, you will receive further information on possible courses for that distance, specific instructions on submitting your time, social options for participants, perks from sponsors, and swag.
MISSION and PURPOSE
We are a Veteran Community Care organization that forms enduring relationships with veterans, bringing healing to their soul and moving them from isolation to community through time and adventurous activity in God’s creation.
This Veteran’s Day Weekend, we need heroes like you who appreciate the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families to servce our country and the cause of liberty around the world. We are looking for heroes who want to serve by running in the beauty of Creation, or volunteering to assist us in carrying out this mission. Resilience of body, mind, and spirit are needed no matter what your position in life, and Outdoor Immersion requests your support to encourage continued resilience in our veterans and military community.
Have you ever saved a life? Here is your chance! The real heroes of Outdoor Immersion are those who support the mission financially and otherwise. We are boots on the ground because of you! Just as our warriors are supplied and equipped by the civilian community, so to the front line of Outdoor Immersion. Your financial support keeps us on the ground and engaged. Outdoor Immersion is a 501c3 charity, and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Become a veteran's Outdoor Immersion Hero, today!
