The Red and Blue Race

Race Purpose:      

To help raise money for Jenkintown High School’s sponsoring of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, as well as Jenkintown’s Home and School Program, the school’s National Honor Society is organizing the school’s second annual 5K, newly-named the Red and Blue Run. Every dollar raised from the 5K and Family Fun Walk will be donated to these two fine institutions, one fighting cancer, the other helping our children receive the best possible education.

Location:                

Jenkintown, PA.  The school’s address is 325 Highland Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046.  The 5K race will wind through the beautiful suburban streets of Jenkintown borough, and will begin and end at the high school’s historic football field.  The Family Fun Walk will consist of a lovely jaunt through the streets of Jenkintown and around the school grounds.              

Awards:                  

Top overall male/female race finishers and overall age group winners.

 Entry:                       

5K— Adults (19 and over):$17.50 prior to day of race, $25 day of race

Students (18 and below):  $15 prior to day of race, $20 day of race

Family/Group Fun Walk (All):$30 for 2 walkers, $45 total for 3-4 walkers in family/group, $60 total for 5-6 in family/group

Amenities:            

T-shirt, refreshments, water stations, prizes, face painting, DJ entertainment

Race Results:        

Race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co.; results will be found at brynmawrracing.com.
