About: Take your classical music “in stride” and come out to support the Kennett Symphony and see if you can BEAT BEETHOVEN!!  This is a fun race for serious runners as well as beginners and families. The race will start with the downbeat of Beethoven's 5th Symphony (DAH, DAH, DAH DAH!!).  Your goal is to finish the 5K before the Symphony finishes playing (over 30-minutes).  Beethoven himself runs the race every year and always has finished with time to spare.... think you can beat him?!  Along with the 5K run, there's 1-mile walk, and a Kids Fun-Dash (6-under) - new this year! The Kids Dash is free for all 6-unders.  Children 12-under can register for the run/walk for just $20.

Course: Starting and finishing next to the stage in Anson B. Nixon park, runners will get a full tour of the park on the newly routed 5K course (5K map).  Two loops of this fast and flat course will have you finishing well before the symphony......maybe?!  The 1-mile course also consists of 2-loops  (map) with walkers using a separate course from the runners.  The Kid's Fun-Dash will be approximately 50 yards, finishing in front of the stage for all 6-under dashers.

Awards: PAYDAY- $200 cash for overall male & female runner in the 5K!  Prizes for 1st male/female in age groups; 9 Under,10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Swag: All pre-registered runners/walkers get the official Beat Beethoven quality shirt.  Must be registered by May 17th to guarantee your shirt.
