Start your Thanksgiving with a purpose! Join the Friedman JCC for our annual Ben August Thanks for Giving Day 5K Run/Walk on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM!

This beloved Northeastern Pennsylvania Thanksgiving tradition brings together runners, walkers, families, and friends of all ages and abilities for a morning of fitness, community, and giving back.

100% of proceeds benefit Sara’s Table at the Kraus-Chaiken Food Pantry, in partnership with the Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO), helping provide food assistance to local individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Held in memory of Ben August, this annual event celebrates his legacy of generosity and community service.

Registration: $30 through November 15; $35 beginning November 16
Register by November 15 to receive a limited-edition, long-sleeve moisture-wicking race shirt!
