Description
1 Hour Virtual Bike Ride.
When: Monday, June 22nd - Sunday, June 28th 2020
Location: Where ever you want.
Fee: $20.00.
How it works: Measure approximately how many miles you ride in a 1 hour time period. Then send us your distance after you complete your ride. We will send you an email after registration, on the process for reporting your distance.
Proceeds: All entry fees will be split between the Lock Haven University Track & Field/Cross Country teams and The Haven Cupboard (info about this organization is listed below). All donations will go to The Haven Cupboard.
The Haven Cupboard is a program available to all Lock Haven University Students free of cost. We provide non-perishable food items to help students who may be struggling to afford nutritionally adequate food. The Haven Cupboard is a student led initiative from the students who work in the Center for Excellence and Inclusion. Our motto is “Everything we do, we do it with love.” The Haven Cupboard was born from that place and we hope that students who come to the Haven Cupboard know that they are supported because we want to help them be as successful as possible. Since opening in October of 2019, we have served approximately 10% of our student body or about 300 different students.
The Haven Cupboard depends on donations to operate. We currently accept non-perishable items every Wednesday from 11:30 until 5PM at the Beth Yehuda Synagogue. Financial contributions can be made to our fund through the Lock Haven University Foundation at www.givetolhu.com (in the designation section select “Other” from the drop-down list, a white box will appear, type “Haven Cupboard” in the box).
