Spartan Spirit 5k and 1 Mile Silly String Fun Run/Walk

Come out and show your Laurel Spartan Pride with 2 different event options:  We have a 5k trail course through beautiful Spartan Park and crossing over to the Lawrence County Fairgrounds and back.  The course is mainly flat with very gentle hills. This event will be timed by Wolf Creek Track Club with awards to the top 3 overall male/female finishers and top 3 male/female finishers in the following categories:  10 & under, 11-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.  Following the 5k is a Silly String 1 mile fun run/walk through Spartan Park.  This 1 mile event will feature silly string squirters throughout the course and ribbons to all the kids!  Refreshments will be provided after the race and proceeds will benefit the Laurel Soccer Club.  Concession stand will also be on site and race t-shirts will be available for purchase at only $5 each.  Rally towels will be given to all 5k participants.
