Rotary 5k Run/Walk to End Polio Now

Join the Rotary Club of Newfoundland for their first ever 5K Run/Walk to End Polio Now. The race will utilize the Dreher Riparian Walking Trail as well as other parts of the Carlton Drake Memorial Park. The course is level and highlights plenty of the area's natural vegetation and wildlife. 

All profits go to Rotary's Polio Plus Foundation whose primary purpose is to eradicate Polio world wide. Rotary launched it's Polio Plus foundation 32 years ago in an effort to rid the world of Polio. Since then, reported cases of Polio have been reduce from 350,000 to 37 worldwide. With the help of Rotary and the local community Polio may one day be completely eradicated.

In conjunction with the effort to raise money for Polio Plus, the Rotary Club of Newfoundland will also be hosting their 2nd Annual Brews and Brats Festival just across the street at the Greene Dreher Fire House at 5:00. All are welcome to enjoy a "Fine Time with German Fare", food stations with beer pairings, music, and a Chinese auction. Discounted ticket prices available to race participants. 

Cost for the race is $30 which includes a T-shirt (while supplies last)

Cost for Brews and Brats entry is $25 and includes beer and food tickets.

Cost for both 5K and Brews and Brats, when purchased together, is $50.
