Nanny Relief Fund Walk-A-Thon

SPRING HAS SPRUNG and WHOA do we have a little extra spring in our step these days! Nanny Relief Fund is THRILLED to announce that we’ll be hosting our first Nanny Relief Fund Walk-A-Thon. It's going to be a spring tradition here in the nanny community and we hope to bring together nannies, agencies, consultants, newborn care specialists, educators, and parents in our mission to spread awareness for our AWESOME industry- and nannies in need! We're committed to doing our part on weaving together the nurturing community and offering resources, financial relief, and opportunities for nannies everywhere- especially in times of financial distress. 

We’ll be having this event virtually from April 24th to May 2nd. For those who can’t make this event and walk with us, we’d love you to do your walk when you can and post a clip of your walk to our Nanny Relief Fund Facebook + Instagram. We’ll tag you in posts for weeks after the event. Since we aren’t all walking together (thanks, COVID- UGH), you can really walk whenever you’d like! If you're fully vaccinated and have other fully vaccinated nanny, parent, or educator buddies- feel free to form a little group and walk together! 

This walk is a fundraiser for nannies in need, and while the realities of COVID-19 seem more hopeful than ever these days, we still receive heartbreaking letters, emails, and inquiries from nannies impacted by the pandemic-- so we're hoping to get another round of funding out the door soon! As we look to the future, we have goals to begin taking requests for larger grants as well! 

Facts about Nanny Relief Fund:

• We've raised almost $100,000 since March of last year.
• We've disbursed two rounds of funding- giving away 161 grants of $500 to nannies in need. 
• We're a nonprofit run by an amazing group of volunteers and industry powerhouses in the nanny industry! 
• We brought all of this amazingness together in a mere matter of WEEKS once the COVID-19 pandemic hit and we intend to shift this fund into a nonprofit that braces for future hard times + addresses more sizable financial distress for nannies in need. 
• We're always looking for volunteers to join us in our mission. 

Our mission (this go around) is to raise $25,000. That’s a huge goal, and we need YOU to help us reach it! We raised almost $60,000 the first weekend this fund was in existence, so we know we can do it. Nannies, educators, agencies, and payroll companies UNITE to help nannies in need! Sign up is $25 per person. 

We're encouraging you to form teams (hey, AGENCIES- wanna create a TEAM?!) and work to raise a local target goal of funding. We'll have some fun swag to give out to those who hit specific targets and for those super competitive souls (ha- we know a few) you can literally be draped in Nanny Relief Fund swag by the end of this event.
