This is a GREAT event for Beginner Triathletes! (a SPRINT)
The 22nd Annual Jackie Kallal Triathlon benefits Habitat For Humanity of Indiana County.
At beautiful Yellow Creek State Park, this sprint triathlon begins the first leg with a half mile swim in a clean lake and average temperature of 72 degrees.
The second leg is a 9.5 mi. bike with rolling hills and the third leg is a 3.2 mi. run.
Both bike and run legs are now OPEN courses.
The creator, Jackie Kallal, was a beautifully vibrant and energetic athlete with compassion for hard working families to have the opportunity of decent affordable housing. This triathlon is just one of the 6 she created in the past throughout the Tri-County area to benefit local Habitat for Humanity organizations.
Chip timing and T-shirts are included in the cost. Again, this is NOT a closed course. Post-race party includes food and beverages as well as an awards ceremony. An optional pre-race overview will be provided Friday night, 6-19-2020 at 7:00 PM. we meet at the main beach area and it is strongly recommended for first time participants. All participants are eligible to pick up their registration packets and race day supplies at the beach pavilion on Friday night. Timing rental chips will be issued morning of the race.
