Description

While we'd love to see all of you in person to celebrate the 12th Annual SWCC 5K, we will be putting together a self-paced virtual race! Now, more than ever, our schools and communities will need your support-- either as a runner, individual fundraiser, donor, or sponsor!

We don't know what school will look like in the fall, but we aim to help provide some sense of normalcy in helping to provide funding for the programs the students know and love as a result of YOUR support. Since 2009 participants have run through the beautiful residential streets of the Southwest Center City while helping to raise money to improve the neighborhood. The proceeds from this year's event will be donated to the Friends of Chester Arthur (FoCA) and Stanton Community Partners (SCP), 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that benefit the neighborhood elementary schools.

The SWCC 5K is a run/walk that can be completed anywhere. Participants can complete the race distance wherever they want during the suggested race dates in October. We will continue to offer the Monster Mile, a 1.0 mile fun run and and for our youngest athletes, the Spooky Sprint, a ~100 yard dash for kids under 6.

Sponsorship Information

Since 2009, the Southwest Center City 5k Run has served the area as an active, community-building event, and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for neighborhood organizations. Once again this year, all proceeds will be donated to the Friends of Chester Arthur (FoCA) & Stanton Community Partners (SCP) to support projects at these local schools. These organizations were formed by Southwest Center City parents and community members who are committed to partnering with the schools in order to foster a robust learning environment for our neighborhood children.

The SWCC 5k is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible and will support the neighborhood schools and community.
