Description
In 1681, Britain's King Charles II deeded a large tract of land in the colonies to William Penn, to resolve a debt he owed to Penn's father. That land, 98 percent of which was blanketed in forest, became incorporated as the commonwealth of PennSylvania -- Penn's Woods.
Today, PA continues to boast more than 17 million acres of forest land, 60 percent of the total area, and the inaugural Sylvan Adventure Race will bring participants to some of the most dramatic landscapes of the southeastern corner of Penn's Woods. Join us for jutting cliffs, shimmering waterways, and tight trail networks. Racers can expect varied and technical terrain, a blazing saddles section, and a massive multi-sport point-to-point rogaine that will require strategy, teamwork, and problem solving to successfully complete.
This race is a regional qualifier for the US Adventure Racing Association National Championship.
