Description
The 2nd Annual Philly400 Run will take place on Saturday, October 8th @ 9am.
The Philly400 Run is a 5K Walk/Run led by the Speranza Human Compassion Project, Philadelphia City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, Councilman Green, Women Against Abuse, Lutheran Settlement House, and other community organizations honoring the 400 domestic violence victims who call 9-1 for help every day here in Philadelphia.
The money raised will go to helping to strengthen our community response to domestic violence through education and victim support.

FAQs
Do I have to run during the 5k?
No, you do not have to run. Participants can walk, jog, run, and everything in between.
Are pets allowed?
No, unfortunately, for safety reasons, pets will not be allowed in the course area.
Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?
Yes.
Will there be restrooms?
Yes, there will be port-a-potties on site.
Will the run be held rain or shine?
Yes.
What is included in my registration fee?
The full registration fee includes a race T-shirt and the ability to participate in the run. For student discount registrations, the shirt must be purchased separately.
Is there a group discount?
Yes, for groups of 10 or more, there is a discount. Please see the registration page for details.
Is there a student rate?
Yes, provided you may sign up using a college student discount rate of $15 until October 1st. After October 1st the student registration increases to $25.
What is my registration fee used for?
Besides the cost of the t-shirt, the balance of your registration goes to the nonprofit organizations involved with the walk/run. These organizations include: Speranza is dedicated to reducing the incidence of domestic violence and promoting safe homes. You can read more about their mission here. Women Against Abuse. Can I wear headphones during the race?
Yes, they are permitted. We ask that you please be careful of your surroundings if you choose to wear them, though.
What is the starting time?
Starting at 7:30am, registration tables will be set up. Opening remarks will be at 8am, a warm up will take place at 8:30, and the actual race begins at 9am.
Where do I get my race bib and other items?
At any registration table.
Will there be bag storage or lockers?
No, there will not be bag storage or lockers. Please secure your items and enter the race area with only the items you plan to run/walk with.
When does the online registration close?
Online registration closes on October 15th. After that, you will be able to register onsite the day of the event.
