Description
Lace up your running shoes and come support the PennVet Class of 2029 on May 9th, 2026 at 9AM! All proceeds will go toward the Class of 2029’s End of Core Event, a pivotal celebration that signifies the transition from didactic to clinical learning. Enjoy a 5K (3.1 mile) race through scenic Penn Park with chipped timing and results that will be posted immediately after the race. We will award medals to the top finisher in each category. Pets are welcome and are encouraged to participate in the Mutt Strut at 10am – a one mile walk with your awesome pups! Come and enjoy bagels, pup-cups, goodies, photo opportunities, and more! Please register early! For 5K runners - to guarantee your free tee shirt, participants must register on or before April 11th, 2026. After April 11th, race shirts are available while supplies last. Mutt Strut participants will have the option to purchase these unique race shirts at a discounted price at online registration while supplies last. Whether you're a runner, a walker, or just want to cheer us on, we’d love to see you there to support the Class of 2029!

Street parking and garages are located across the city, but here are some suggestions located near Picnic Grove.
- Outdoor parking lot near Ace Adam’s Field on Walnut St.

Day-Of Rules
In order to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time we ask that you please respect these important facility and race rules.
- Please sign your PennPark consent waiver before your run (minors will require the signature of a guardian)
- Please do not litter - clean up after yourself and your pup!
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the grounds for this event
- All dogs must stay leashed
- Race registered dogs may participate in the Mutt Strut - please refrain from bringing your furry friend in the 5K
- Lastly, be kind to your fellow runners and have fun!
