Parkway Run & Walk

Every September, thousands of people come together on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia to raise money for pediatric cancer research and care at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in children under the age of 15. While researchers at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and many other pediatric cancer centers are making great progress in the search for a cure, they need more funding to continue their work.

The Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is an internationally recognized leader in pediatric cancer treatment and research. Patients and families come to CHOP from around the globe to receive the best available pediatric cancer care from some of the world’s top clinicians. Not only are CHOP’s oncologists providing the most advanced treatments for pediatric cancers, they’re working every day to develop new therapies to treat children battling these devastating diseases, and addressing the late effects of cancer treatment felt by those who’ve won their fight.
