NEW THIS YEAR we are hosting the first ever COURSE CHALLENGE RACE at 8AM! SCROLL DOWN TO MEET THE TEAMS!!
We have 2 preselected teams that will race against each other to determine the direction of the event! The Course Challenge Race will begin at 8am. The 5k will begin at 8:30am and the 1 mile shortly after. Will you be starting DOWN Robb Hollow or UP Larchdale? We will find out on May 31st! We welcome all participants and spectators to line the streets and cheer on these runners!
A Run Through the ‘Woods’ is an annual fundraiser for Hoover Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in the Mt. Lebanon School District, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The run/walk takes place at the elementary school. The course goes through the scenic (and hilly) Cedarhurst Manor neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon hitting many of the ‘wood’ named streets. The event is competitive and fun for all ages and abilities. We offer a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk, Live Age group awards as well as sponsor filled goodie bags, photographers and water on the course, custom finisher medals, fun raffle baskets, and snacks at the finish line! Medical staff, and a police officer will be on site for the safety of all participants.
Hoover Elementary PTA strives to enhance the school experience for all students. The purpose of this event is to raise money to support educational programs throughout the year. We thank you for your support!
