Footbridge for Families Virtual 5K - Holiday Trot

Give thanks with your family and friends as we run/walk to raise money for Footbridge for Families!

Footbridge, winner of this year's UpPrize, is actively supporting families who are facing crises.  COVID-19 has put an incredible strain on our community, and families living on tight budgets are more vulnerable than ever.  Through partnerships with the medical field and community-based organizations, Footbridge is able to engage families who have not been able to make ends meet through the traditional safety net.  We address financial crises by settling bills within 48 hours and offering warm handoffs that result in actual enrollment in the social service programs for which families are eligible.  

This year's holiday gathering may look a little different this year, but you can celebrate your community and help your neighbors by running or walking 5 kilometers together anytime, anywhere between November 22 and December 25th.  Take a selfie and post it to celebrate walking/running to support Pittsburgh families.

Footbridge enables the community to support neighbors at the time when they need it the most in a way that prioritizes family dignity and privacy, protects against bias and ensures that funds are available as soon as families need them.   To learn more: afootbridge.org
