Guardian Angels Pug Virtual 5K, 10k, & Half Marathon

When: Takes place between the dates Tuesday, April 1, 2014 to Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Registration: Registration is now open and runs until Wednesday, April 30th @ 11:59 PM.

Distance: 5K = 3.1 miles; 10K = 6.2 miles; and Half Marathon = 13.1 miles.

How: You can run, walk, bike, swim, dance. etc. as long as it all totals up to the race distance you chose over the period of time. You may even use a treadmill or walk the dog!

Where: Anywhere! There is no specific starting time or starting place. Do it at the convenience of your own neighborhood, park, treadmill, gym, and actual races count too!

Cost: $15.00, which does not includes the $2.50 processing fee for RunSignUp.com. All proceeds will be donated to Guardian Angels Pug Rescue in Latrobe, PA.

What you will receive: First of all, you get the satisfaction of knowing you are helping pugs in need. Many of the pugs available for adoption have medical issues such as breast cancer, Hydrocephalus, and blindness. The proceeds we receive from this race will help with medical costs, pet food, grooming supplies, toys, treats, and renovations to the shelter to improve the quality of life of these pugs.

Secondly, If you would like a BIB to print out and wear during your activity, please email gapugrace@gmail.com. We encourage you to take a picture and send it to us! You also will receive a personalized thank you letter in the mail, along with a photo from one of the pugs whom you helped with your donation.

Can I submit a picture? Sure! Especially if you walked or ran with your own pooch, then please send it to us! We may even use it on our website!

What if I can't complete the entire distance yet? No worries. Pace does not matter, so if you want to do run/walk intervals, that is fine. You can even break it up into 1 mile a day until you reach your chosen race distance.
