Description

AMD3 and Operation Walk Pittsburgh present the 2nd Annual Move 4 Mobility 5K!! 

This run/walk will take place at Schenley Park on Saturday, June 22, 2024. The course is a moderate out-and-back route along the scenic Bridle Trail. The run/walk event will begin at 9 a.m.

A separate, 1/2-mile Kids’ Race will begin at 8:30 a.m.

  • Chip timing for all 5k runners

  • Discounted rates for seniors and youth participants

The Wellness Center for Bone and Joint Health, UPMC Mobile Unit, and Lifeline Physical Therapy will be onsite during the event to assess bone and joint health and co-create care plans for the treatment and prevention of arthritis. Register now for the chance to participate in FREE onsite services including:

  • Bone Density Scans
  • Nutritional Knowledge Screenings
  • Stretching & Balance Exercises
  • Kinesiology Taping

On-site packet pick-up will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the Schenley Park Oval Shelter on race day. 

 

ABOUT AMD3 FOUNDATION

Based in Pittsburgh and led by Dr. Anthony M. DiGioia, AMD3 Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that has been committed to improving bone and joint health and education, locally and abroad, for more than 20 years. AMD3 supports Operation Walk Pittsburgh’s annual medical mission trip to Central American countries, which provides no-cost joint replacement surgeries to patients in need.

Your support will fund Operation Walk Pittsburgh’s 2023 Mission to Antigua, Guatemala, where we will perform over 70 joint replacement surgeries for more than 50 patients. During the trip Op Walk will also host its 2nd annual free dental clinic.

All participants will receive a custom race t-shirt with registration.

Shirts are guaranteed until June 1st.  After June 1st, shirts will be available while supplies last.
