Description
The PGH Equality Center is bringing to you its first Virtual Race! During this time of physical distancing, races of all sorts have been cancelled. We have decided to come together with the runners, walkers, and sleepers of this area to support you. We also have an option for people that would like to sleep for 8hrs in one night to promote healthy sleeping habits. The Race for Equality will run from July 15th to August 15th.
The proceeds will go towards our youth program and new initiatives coming Fall 2020 and later to support the LGBTQIA+ community.
Share your Race selfies, videos, and statuses by tagging us @PGHEqualityCenter on Facebook or Instagram, @PGHEqualityCtr on Twitter, and/or #PECVirtualRace. Active-Fitness Events has their own app. Feel free to use any fitness or sleep app to log your results and share with us.
Note: Please consult a doctor before participating. Shirt and medal (Sleep level does not come with shirt and medal) will come 4-6 weeks after the race. Signing up for any of our virtual race levels will come with a digital map and list of Pittsburgh's LGBTQIA+ history which will be sent to your email after the sign up is complete.
