Run For the Rec 5k

McKnight Village is proud to host the 2025 Run for the Rec, a 5k race through our neighborhood to support the upkeep and revitalization of our community-owned park! This year will be a color run so get ready to layer your shirt with a rainbow of colors as you make your way through the course. Stick around after the race for raffles, refreshments, live music and games for the kids!

Sunday, June 1st at 9am in the McKnight Village Rec, located at the end of Henderson Road.

Participate for fun (untimed walk) or get competitive (5k running division, and 5k rucking division). Strollers and families are welcome. For those competing for time, 53 medals will be awarded across a variety of age groups and categories.  

REGISTRATION: Discounted rates through April 25th. Register by May 9th to guarantee a race shirt. Registration remains open through race day. 

SPONSORSHIP: Due April 25th. Click on Sponsor/Donate to become a sponsor! 

PARKING: Free in the rec. Please arrive between 8 - 8:30am on race day and follow parking volunteers' instructions for parking. 

RACE PACKET PICKUP: Friday 5/30 (5-7pm) or Saturday 5/31 (10am-noon). If you are not able to pick your bib, shirt, and bag before race day, you can also pick it up the morning of the event. However, we strongly encourage you to pick-up on Friday or Saturday.
