Runaway Pumpkin 5K

Join us on October 28th, 2023 for a fun and treat-filled 5K run and 2.5K run/walk at the Park @4th in Quakertown, PA! This Halloween-themed 5K will feature a fun mix of music provided by a live DJ, a costume contest, and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place timed runners. All registrants will receive an event t-shirt and a post-run snack. Registration and costume contest entries open at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. sharp. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the race, or at 10:45 a.m., whichever comes sooner. Music will be spinning until 12 pm, so participants are welcome to hang out after for photos, a post-race fun! 

This event benefits United Friends School, a pre-K-8th grade independent school providing Quaker education to nearly 100 students from the area. Proceeds from 5K registrations and sponsorships will go toward the school's annual fund, supporting student scholarships, extracurricular offerings, curricular enhancements, professional development for teachers, and operational support. 

The 5K is a flat, 2-loop course of the beautiful Park @4th in Quakertown. The running path consists of pavement, macadam, and gravel sections. Signs and course marshals will ensure runners stay on route throughout the event. This event is timed for those who register for the 5K, and microchipped bibs will be provided. Those running the 2.5K will also receive bibs but the event is not timed for the 2.5K fun run/walk. 

Parking is available at Memorial Park - there is a paved lot and a gravel lot- as well as the pool lot. All lots are a short walk to the registration area at the Park @ 4th. Look for signs to direct you to the registration booth! There is a small parking lot at the entrance to the Park @ 4th for those who need accessible parking, and for volunteers who are bringing supplies to the park.
