250 Kilometers. 250 Miles. One Summer of Movement.

This event is open to faculty, staff and students of Lehigh Carbon Community College ONLY

The America 250 Challenge is a virtual summer endurance challenge celebrating America’s 250th anniversary through movement, consistency, and personal commitment. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, participants will work toward completing either 250 kilometers (155 miles) or 250 miles at their own pace, on their own schedule.

Run or walk your distance anywhere: on roads, trails, treadmills, tracks, or sidewalks. Whether you’re training for races, staying active over the summer, or building healthier habits, every mile counts. This challenge is about commitment, consistency, and honoring the journey.

There’s no start line and no finish tape, just you, your miles, and the determination to keep moving all summer long.

Challenge Details:
Duration: Memorial Day – Labor Day
Goal: Complete either: 250 kilometers (155 miles), or 250 miles
Activity: Run and/or walk
Location: Anywhere (virtual)
Pace: Your pace, your schedule

Rules & Documentation:
- Distance must be completed as intentional exercise sessions only.
- Daily steps and normal activity do not count toward challenge mileage.
- Participants may use a running watch, fitness tracker, treadmill, or phone app to track mileage.
- Participants will log their distance using a shared spreadsheet throughout the challenge period.
- Instructions for accessing and updating the spreadsheet will be provided at the start of the event.

Finishers & Celebration:
All participants who complete their selected challenge distance by Labor Day will receive a finisher prize.
