Leah Loomis' Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes (from home)
Place
Scott Township, PA US 18433
Description
Leah Loomis, was a major advocate for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Having been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age, Leah was devoted to finding a cure for the disease. After tragically passing away in an accident of September 2017, Leah's friends and family vowed to continue her work with JDRF and help end this disease. Not only will this event be in memorandum of Leah, but it will also donate 100% of the proceeds to JDRF. This year with the unforeseen circumstances, we have officially decided that this year Leah Loomis’ Walk to Cure Juveline Diabetes will be virtual. This means that you can gather with friends and family and participate in a variety of ways. You can walk in your neighborhood, go for a run on the Rails for Trails, bike at Lackawanna State Park, or go for a hike! You can go for 20 minutes or 2 hours, it doesn’t matter! Get creative with the different ways you can participate!
