Description
Get ready to lace up for the 16th Annual Turkey Trot 5K/10K Run/Walk!
Join us for a morning of fun, fitness, and community spirit at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, in collaboration with AllOne Foundation & Charities. This exciting event benefits Friends of the Poor, a nonprofit that has been serving the Scranton area since 1986.
Friends of the Poor operates 14 food pantries across the county and provides essential services including food, clothing, furniture, household items, utility and medical assistance, transportation, after-school programs, and more — all aimed at easing the burden of poverty and improving lives.
Race Day Details:
Sunday, November 2
Registration opens at 6:45 AM
Race begins at 8:00 AM
The route starts at the medical school, travels down the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, and returns to finish at the medical school. Following the race will be awards and post-race celebrations.
Registration Fees:
5K – $30 (includes a T-shirt)
10K – $40 (includes a T-shirt)
Children 12 & under – Free
Register online by October 31 or sign up on race day during registration time.
Tiny Trot Fun Zone:
Enjoy crafts and activities for kids of all ages — a great way for the whole family to join in the fun!

Awards:
Results will be announced after the completion of the 5K/10K.
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers in each race, as well as the top male and female in the following age categories:
0–19
20–29
30–39
40–49
50–59
60+
