Description

Join the fun for the 12th Sasquatch Preservation 5K & 10K Trail Run at the FNLT preserved South Branch Farms.   The Sasquatch is chip timed by Applied Race Management and plan for the starting time for BOTH RACES at 9:00 AM.

Honored as one of Runner’s World magazine’s America’s Top Trail Races, The Sasquatch is 99% off-road with cross-country and trails on varied terrain and elevation on FNLT preserved farmland, woods, pastures and streams. You’ll be along birds, deer, turkeys, owls, foxes, coyotes, snakes and…. yes runners have even seen sasquatches!  The 10K has some steep climbs including OVER the historic Howard Tunnel / Rail Trail.  Both runs cross the Codorus Creek near the finish.  As course designer Rob Kinsley states, “If you’re not wet and dirty, you’re disqualified!”

Post race includes a light lunch from our White Rose Bar & Grill, fruits from Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market, beer sampling from Brewery Products (21+ with ID), and comradery with your fellow runners.  Also back, the human powered hamster wheel shave ice by Kinetic Kreations!

BRISK PACE ONLY - this is not a walk or hike event.  FNLT has a new series of events called Preservation Steps for that option - due to time restraints this event is quick paced.

Preserving land is cool but trespassing is not - this is PRIVATE property, so please - no trying to run the course before or after the race.  Since this is an active farm, please NO ANIMALS to be brought to the event.  Due to the terrain, no strollers. Please carpool if you’re able.

LOVE OPEN SPACE, WOODS, WATER & THE COUNTRYSIDE?
The Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5K & 10K benefits Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County, dedicated to preservation of agricultural and environmental landscapes for future generations of humans and wildlife to enjoy.  FNLT has 170+ properties with over 14,000 acres permanently preserved - and growing.  Learn more at farmtrust.org.
