The purpose of this race is to raise money for the three benefices of Aid to South Africa: Mosaic, Nkosi’s Haven, and H.E.L.P Ministries Soup Kitchen. Mosaic is an organization in South Africa that works to end poverty through building up communities and creating jobs. Nkosi’s Haven is also located in South Africa and provides shelter and opportunities to women and children dealing with HIV/ AIDS. H.E.L.P Ministries Soup Kitchen works toward ending hunger in Cape Town, South Africa.
Registration begins outside of Ehinger Gym (in between Schmucker Science Center and the People’s Building)
Awards: 18 and under top three runners, adult top 3 runners
Entry: $20 before 3/13/20, $25 before 4/5/20, $35 at event. Group rate: 5 individuals for $80.
Course begins in front of Ehinger Gym on Church Street and does an infinity loop around campus (course map is on our websites: http://www.wcupa.edu/viceProvost/honorsCollege/aidtosouthafrica/default.aspx & https://www.aidtosouthafrica.org ,guaranteed correct size t-shirt if registered before March 17th, refreshments, water stations, gift card prizes for top 3 placing runners. Aid to South Africa event will be held following the 5k, stop by afterward for free food and games!
