CCDSIG 2020 Virtual Buddy Walk

12:00AM EDT - 11:59PM EDT
Virtual Event - Venue of Your Choice!
West Chester, PA US 19380

The CCDSIG has hosted our annual Buddy Walk in Chester County since 2000. This event brings families in our community together to promote awareness and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. Registration fees and donations from this event are invested back in our members to offer financial support for expenses such as camp fees, fitness/therapy fees, educational opportunities, parent seminars and more!

Due to COVID-19, this year's annual CCDSIG Buddy Walk on Sunday, October 11th will be virtual.

What's a "virtual walk?" It's a unique opportunity to walk from anywhere in the world to celebrate individuals with Down syndrome. You determine what time you walk, where you go, and who you bring along. We encourage you to invite your family and friends both near and far to participate!

How can you share your experience? On the day of the walk, we welcome you to share photos, videos and/or experiences of your 1 mile walk on our Facebook page.

How can you participate (while practicing social distancing)?

  • REGISTER to walk 1 mile with us (virtually) from a venue of your choice, at anytime during the day (register by 9/11/2020 for a free Buddy Walk t-shirt & face mask!).
  • WATCH our opening remarks, including messages from a few special guests, at 11am ET on October 11th (a recording will be available on our website for those unable to attend).
  • DONATE any amount to an individual/team fundraiser or directly to CCDSIG to support our loved ones with Down syndrome
  • ENJOY the one mile walk!
  • SHARE pictures showing your participation & support on Facebook & Instagram

Check out our website for additional details.

Thank you in advance for your time, support and generous donations. We look forward to "seeing" you all on Sunday, October 11th! For questions regarding the event, please contact

Corporate Partnership and Sponsor Information

Dear Corporate & Community Relations Director,

Welcome to the Chester County Down Syndrome Interest Group’s (CCDSIG) 20th year of celebrating the Upside of Down Syndrome! Founded in 1998, CCDSIG is a nonprofit organization focused on the following mission:

  • Unite all of CCDSIG’s members, including those with Down syndrome and their families and friends
  • Provide outreach, information, networking opportunities and support to new families
  • Supply a means of social interaction for all members
  • Inform families of current research and topics of interest regarding Down syndrome
  • Develop community and educational programs to empower individuals with Down syndrome
  • Educate the community to increase awareness, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome

Our annual Buddy Walk is our biggest event and fundraiser of the year with over 1000 attendees. Due to COVID-19, this year's event will be held virtually on Sunday, October 11th.

This year, sponsors can support CCDSIG with a number of benefits:

  • Your company featured in an article and your company profile in CCDSIG newsletter, social media pages, and website.
  • Your company name or logo on the CCDSIG website and on our event pages (social media sites, Family Fun Day page, registration page).
  • Most importantly, the opportunity to be part of a wonderful community event focused on public awareness and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome.

Your sponsorship provides funding for CCDSIG’s local community outreach - education, training, scholarships and activity funding - and partner organizations including The ARC of Chester County, Special Olympics, Adaptive PE programs at West Chester University, and local Best Buddy programs.

Thank you for considering corporate sponsorship for the 2020 CCDSIG Buddy Walk. Be certain that your donation will make a huge difference for the Down syndrome community and the CCDSIG families.  If you have questions about becoming a sponsor please contact us at

Sincerest thanks,
