Description

The CCDSIG has hosted our annual Buddy Walk in Chester County since 2000. This event brings families in our community together to promote awareness and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. Registration fees and donations from this event are invested back in our members to offer financial support for expenses such as camp fees, fitness/therapy fees, educational opportunities, parent seminars and more!

This year each team will have their moment to shine!  We will announce each team alphabetically and allow a few minutes for the teams to start walking.  Be sure to register by September 15th to receive a Buddy Walk t-shirt.

If you’re not able to attend in-person you can still participate!

REGISTER to walk 1 mile with us at West Goshen Park on Sunday, October 10th (starts at 10am). We also welcome virtual participation if you cannot join us in person. To receive a free Buddy Walk t-shirt, register by 9/15/2021 (details for shirt pick-up will be provided at a later date).

Corporate Partnership and Sponsor Information

Dear Corporate & Community Relations Director,

Welcome to the Chester County Down Syndrome Interest Group’s (CCDSIG) 23rd year of celebrating the Upside of Down Syndrome! Founded in 1998, CCDSIG is a nonprofit organization focused on the following mission:

Unite all of CCDSIG’s members, including those with Down syndrome and their families and friends
Provide outreach, information, networking opportunities and support to new families
Supply a means of social interaction for all members
Inform families of current research and topics of interest regarding Down syndrome
Develop community and educational programs to empower individuals with Down syndrome
Educate the community to increase awareness, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome

Our annual Buddy Walk is our biggest event and fundraiser of the year with over 1,000 attendees.

This year, sponsors can support CCDSIG with a number of benefits:

Your company featured in an article and your company profile in CCDSIG newsletter, social media pages, and website.
Your company name or logo on the CCDSIG website and on our event pages (social media sites, Family Fun Day page, registration page).
Most importantly, the opportunity to be part of a wonderful community event focused on public awareness and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome.
Your sponsorship provides funding for CCDSIG’s local community outreach - education, training, scholarships and activity funding - and partner organizations including The ARC of Chester County, Special Olympics, Adaptive PE programs at West Chester University, and local Best Buddy programs.

Thank you for considering corporate sponsorship for the 2021 CCDSIG Buddy Walk. Be certain that your donation will make a huge difference for the Down syndrome community and the CCDSIG families.  If you have questions about becoming a sponsor please contact us at ccdsig@ccdsig.org.

Sincerest thanks,

CCDSIG Board
