Description
Be a part of the 1st “Be the Blessing 5K" event. The purpose of this event is to lower the cost of adoption fees for families who desire to adopt, but do not have the financial backing to “Be the Blessing” to the orphaned, not just in America, but throughout the world.
The proceeds from this years’ event will be donated to the Umstead Family, in an effort to help bring their 2 year-old baby boy Samuel home, from an orphanage in China. This family has willingly and willfully desired to adopt Samuel, who was abandoned because he has Down Syndrome. China has given the Umstead Family preapproval to adopt Samuel pending full funding, and we are pleased to say that they are more than halfway there.
The race will begin at 8:30 AM.
Day of Registration and packet pickup will begin on race day at 7:30 AM.
An additional packet pick up will be available at Sweet Frog on Lycoming Creek road on Thursday, August 17th from 5PM-8PM.
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers.
Children 11 & Under are FREE! (no shirt included, but one can be purchased)
