Williamsport Marathon, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay

The first annual Williamsport Marathon, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 and will start at 8:00 AM.

* The marathon will be a qualifier for the 2019 Boston Marathon. *

The race will start near the intersection of West Fourth Street and William Street.  The full marathon will take runners through Williamsport, and then into Loyalsock, Montoursville, and South Williamsport by way of the riverwalk before returning to the city for the finish!

The Half Marathon course will begin in the same location and will take participants to Loyalsock and then to South Williamsport by way of the riverwalk before returning to the city.  

The Marathon Relay will consist of 4 runners per team.  The legs of the relay will be approximately 6.60 miles, 6.50 miles, 5.61 miles, and 7.49 miles.  Transition 1 takes place at Indian Park in Montoursville. There is a pavilion and restrooms available. There will be a timing point for your split. We plan on providing some transportation to the first transition point, but if you have a ride please take advantage of that as space is somewhat limited. Transition 2 and 3 are at the same location on the south west side of the Market Street bridge. This location is a short walk distance from the start / finish area. There will be a marathon relay team meeting at 7:40 a.m. at the Mid Town Landing adjacent to the start / finish area.
* All relay teams will be utilizing an ankle strap with chip. This strap / chip must travel the course. The ankle strap must be worn on the ankle to insure proper chip times for your team.

There will be a pasta dinner at the Genetti Hotel & Suites the night before the event (October 7th) from 4:00-7:00PM in the Terrace Room. The fee is $20 for spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs, a side of garlic bread and a salad, served with coffee, tea, or water.

Packet pick-up will also be going on in the Terrace Room at the same time as the pasta dinner. Runners can pick up their swag bag with their long-sleeve shirt and bib number in addition to their meal.

PACKET PICK-UP WILL ALSO BE GOING ON THE MORNING OF THE EVENT FROM 5:30-7:30 A.M. at the start/finish location inside the FCFP building (201 W 4th St, Williamsport, PA 17701).
