Description
The Sunny Willow Swim Club will host a Splash and Dash event for participants ages 7-15. The event is designed to introduce youth athletes to multi-sport competitions through the discipline of aquathlon (swim-run). Participants ages 7-10 will complete a 100 meter pool swim and 1 kilometer run, while athletes ages 11-15 will complete a 150 meter pool swim and 1.5 kilometer run. All participants will receive a custom finishers medal!
USA TRIATHLON
The Sunny Willow Splash & Dash is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT), the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such, USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member, or (2) purchase a one day membership. Memberships can be purchased during online registration.

Ages 7-10 Swim Course - 100 meters
Athletes will swim serpentine style for 4 laps and will exit to the transition area through the Sunny Willow main entrance.
Ages 11-15 Swim Course - 150 meters
Athletes will swim serpentine style for 6 laps and will exit to the transition area through the Sunny Willow main entrance.
Ages 7-10 Run Course - 1km
Athletes will run out of transition via the wood chip path, turn right at playground and proceed to loop around Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School. Upon coming back around the other side of the school, athletes will cross in front of the school and finally down the finisher chute located on the entrance road to Sunny Willow.
Ages 11-15 Run Course - 1.5 km
Athletes will run out of transition via the wood chip path, turn right at playground and proceed to run behind Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School. Athletes will then take the paved trail to Woodland Rd.,run down Dundee Drive and turn around at Burn Brae Park. Upon coming back to Woodland Rd, athletes will take the other paved path, run around the other side of the school, cross in front of the school, and finally down the finisher chute located on the entrance road to Sunny Willow.
Transition Area
Athletes will exit the pool area through the Sunny Willow entrance and enter transition located in the parking lot. The exit out of transition to the run course will be via the wood chip path.
Finish
The main driveway will serve as the finisher chute!
