This race will be limited to 240 runners based on CDC requirements.

The time has come for the 8th Annual Shoe House 5 Miler. While it can not be our typical race format, we still want everyone to have a great time. Please note things to keep in mind:

Race Changes from Normal Race Day:

Important Guidelines!

There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS/NO EXCEPTIONS. Unfortunately we are trying to limit crowd size and one of the ways to do this is to not have race day registrations.

Face Masks: Please wear a face mask in the registration area, Porta John area and at start line unless you have an underlining medical condition that prevents you from doing so. After you get your packet at registration please social distance elsewhere. We would like to encourage everyone to practice social distancing and keep everyone healthy and safe.

Packet Pick Up, you will receive a bib and all of your items in a bag. We are not handing medals out at the end of the event like normal. They will be in your goodie bag along with: Shirt, Safety Pins, Sticker, and card that has a QR code for you to check your results within seconds of crossing finish line or the actual website address too.
Results again will be posted directly onto our website at: https://usroadrunning.com/Timing.php We will not have a results television to discourage crowds from forming. If you have a correction please email missy@usraodrunning.com

Water Station: Please be aware that there will only be one water station and it will be self serve with small bottles of water. The water station will be locate at the Shoe House and a volunteer will be placing individual water bottles on the tables. The Finish Line will have a similar set up with individual bottles of water.

Finish Line gathering: We ask that everyone can do their best to not gather in crowds after completing the event.
We hope everyone has a great time while remaining safe! Thanks for being a part of US Road Running!

Practice social distancing at all times! When picking up your packets we are asking participants wear their mask and stand 6ft apart. Porta Johns will be separated by 6ft as well. Please stand 6ft apart while in line too.   We will only have one water station at the Shoe House, however, this is not your typical water station.  We will have 8oz water bottles due to restrictions we must follow and this will be self serve with a volunteer refilling table as needed.  The finish line will also have water bottles we will place on a table and will be self serve. 

We will not have a results television. Instead results can be found with in seconds on https://usroadrunning.net . Medals, shirts, safety pins, and snacks all will be in your goodie bag at registration. We are asking you refrain from gathering in large groups and limit contact with others.  For the race start we are asking that you do not go to the Start Line until 2 mins prior. We again are trying to limit the human to human contact.  

We want everyone to have fun out there, but also keep everyone safe! Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!

US Road Running Race Club
This race is put on by the US Road Running Race Club.  The club has over two hundred races each year.  For most location, we have races every month.  It is not required to be a club member to attend a US Road Running race.  It is required that you have fun.  Club members receive 50% off all US Road Running club races when they preregister using RunSignUp.  For more information about the club go to https://runsignup.com/raceclub 

Race Rules
Entry fees are non-refundable, no exceptions. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. Should the event be canceled, we will transfer your registration to our next event at the same location. You may request to transfer to another event 24 hours before the races starts. No dogs on the course.

Date and Time
Race starts at 07:00 AM on July 4, 2020.
No race day registration.
Packet pickup starts one hour before the race and ends ten minutes before the race starts.
Packet pickup, Start and Finish is at the Faith Alive Community Church.

Pre-Registration Club Members Price: $15.00.
Pre-Registration Price: $30.00.

Awards are mailed out after the race.  Awards are placards that go on the back of your finisher medal.  Please allow 30 days for us to mail out awards.
Series Awards go out at the end of the year and are medals.  You must have a US address to receive your awards.

Volunteers make a huge impact with all our events and we are always looking for willing caring people. All volunteers will receive their choice of a free race registration to a future US Road Running race. Contact our Race Manager to see if we have any volunteer spots available.

Food Drive
A food drive is held at this race, donations are collected near the registration tents. All food is donated to the PA Central Food Bank. Non-perishable food only. A drawing will be held a few day after the race with all the names of those who donated. The winner will receive a free live race registration for a future race held by US Road Running.
