Athlete Guide
Hello Athletes! We are excited to see you for our race! We hope that you're excited too!
Please take a minute to review the items below to make things a little bit smoother for your race day.
Pre-Race
Location
The race will be located at Jennings Park in Neoga, Illinois. Look for the large pavilion; that’s where packet pick-up will be!
The address is 600 Park Ave, Neoga, IL 62447.
Parking
There is an elementary school nearby that will have parking spots, as well as the park itself.
Weather Gear
Right now, we are expecting a high of 43 and a low of 33, so dress accordingly!
If you are wearing a larger outer layer, please be sure that you attach your bib to your outermost layer. Heavy coats will make it more difficult to read and for us to see your number as you finish.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be offered as early as 6:45a, the morning of the race. Bibs will be assigned at the time of check-in, and every athlete will need to check-in.
Packet Pickup will take place at the big, red pavilion.
Day-Of Registration
Day-Of registrations will be accepted at the check-in station. If you have a friend to bring, it's not too late!
Online registration will be open until 7:45a. Checks will be accepted as well.
Race Info
Start Times
We have 2 divisions, both with a separate start time. The 10k will start promptly at 8:00a, followed by the 5k at 8:15a. Both divisions will use the same start line.
The finish will come back through the start line, and all athletes will use the same finish line.

Safety Guidelines
- Headphones are strongly discouraged. We will be running on some partially open roads, so it's important to be able to hear traffic and others around you.
- Strollers are welcome! If you have a stroller, please try to start near the end of the starting line.
- There will be a water station at the 5k turnaround. This means that the 10k athletes will be able to hit the water station twice.
Post Race
Post Race Refreshments
At the end of the race, join us for a well-earned PB&J!
We will also have Coffee, supplied by Milk & Honey in Mattoon.
Restrooms
We will have a Porta-Potty(s) on-site at the park. There will NOT be any Porta-Pottys on course.
Results
Results from the race will be posted to RunSignUp. If you have elected to receive texts for your results, you will also get a text message with your results.
