POWERUN 5K

Riya Patel is a freshman at Cornell University studying Policy Analysis and Management. Throughout the years, Riya has realized how she can use her voice for the greater good. She has developed a passion for public speaking, leadership, and volunteering. Riya competed actively in Congressional Debate and held multiple leadership roles in her high school, such as Speech and Debate President. She was also a member of the Ryan Nece Student Service Program. All of these experiences have bolstered Riya's compassion for volunteering and inspired her to help empower girls all over the world.

 

Anya Patidar is a junior at C. Leon King High School. She is a Lincoln-Douglas debater and uses debate as an outlet to express her views. She recently became the Vice President on the Speech and Debate board at her school. Anya’s creativity emerges when she dances on Desi Dhamaka, a competitive dance team, and plays piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She is inspired by powerful women like Malala Yousafzai, and supports girl education. Anya enjoys participating in organizations that advocate for girl empowerment.
