ABOUT THE 5K EVENT
What is the "Walk the Ho'omau Foundation from anywhere"?
It's a virtual 5K event that we do together, yet independently. You can complete it at your own pace, choose any activity, and participate from anywhere you would like. Simply register for the event and you have from March 30-April 7 to complete your Event. Your bib will automatically be available in your account.
When Can I Start?
You can start anytime starting March 30. Once you register, you have until April 7 to complete the challenge.
Where Should I do my activity?
You can conduct your activity anyplace you like.
Can I Complete My Activity on a Treadmill or an elliptical machine?
Yes, you can track your progress on a treadmill or elliptical machine!
TRACKING YOUR MILES FOR THE CHALLENGE
Do I have to log my miles or activity?
Nope — logging your miles or activity is optional, but we do hear from our participants that it helps them feel more connected to the challenge and to the other participants. PLEASE NOTE: If you are anonymous, you will not be able to log your miles.
How do I log my activity for the challenge?
You can CLICK HERE or for future logging, here’s how:
1. Click on "RESULTS" tab at the top of the race page
2. Click "SUBMIT RESULTS"
3. Look up your name.
4. Enter your progress of your activity.
5. Click "SUBMIT YOUR TIME" Done!
6. To track your activity you click on the RESULTS tab and choose VIEW RESULTS, this will allow you to search your name and view your miles or minutes completed.
We will keep track of your total distance. Check back anytime to see your progress.
Note: It takes up to 24 hours for the system to update new participant registrations so you may not be able to start placing your results until the day after you register.
Do I need a GPS watch tracker or official app to measure and time my distance?
You can use one if you wish, but you don't need one. You are on the Honor System. If you would like to use an app to measure your distance, some popular ones are Strava, MapMyRun and Run Keeper. Please note that you will still have to log your miles or minutes manually through the RESULTS tab, Run Sign Up does not have the ability to integrate with any apps at the moment.
Can I change my distance?
Absolutely! You can make this change in your RunSignUp profile under Manage Registration. Once you are in your profile, click on the "Transfer Event" tab at the top of the page. Click HERE for more information.
ABOUT THE SWAG
What is included with my registration?
All participants will receive a branded decal sticker, coaster, access to all the 5K Event features including race bib, online tracking and a finisher certificate.
*Items will be shipped to the US only and to the Team Captain.
When will I get my bib?
You can download and print your custom bib immediately after registering. The link to your bib is in your confirmation email and also in your Quick Links email sent to you the day after your registration. If you can’t find your confirmation email, you can resend it to yourself within your profile. Click HERE to learn how.
How do I find my finisher certificate?
Here’s how:
1. Click on RESULTS tab at the top of the page
2. Click "SUBMIT RESULTS"
3. Look up your name.
4. Enter your miles or minutes you completed in the calendar.
5. Click CERTIFICATE in the upper right corner.
REFERRING YOUR FRIENDS
Where can I find my referral code to pass on to my friends?
The link to your referral code is in the confirmation email and also in the Quick Links email that was sent to you the day after you registered. You can also find your link in your profile. Click HERE to learn how to access both options.
How can I see how many people have registered using my referral link?
You can track your referred registrations in your profile. You can use THIS LINK to find out how.
MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR REGISTRATION
I accidentally registered myself as anonymous. How do I change that?
You can change your status in your event profile. Click HERE to learn how.

Does this event support Ho'omau Foundation?
Yes, 100% of your donation will go towards the Kamery Lee, Jr. scholarships. We will grant 10 scholarships this year.
