Paul Douglas Information
Race Day
Sunday August 9, 2026
The Event
This is the 4th year of the Paul Douglas Pursuit, and this year's race is going to be very different! We offer a 3, 6, and 9-hour endurance/relay race on the east side of the preserve, with opportunities for teams as well as solo riders. We also have the traditional Adaptive, First Timers and Juniors races, and the FREE Kids Race, on the west side of the preserve. Sign up today and get ready to have an absolute blast!
This is a spectator friendly venue, so bring the whole family along to cheer you on! Paul Douglas Woods is located in Hoffman Estates, IL just 2 miles north west of Woodfield Mall and just off of I-90 on Central Rd. and only 30 miles from downtown Chicago.
Packet Pickup
Racers can pick up their racer packet on Saturday August 8, from 12 PM until 3 PM, at Crank Revolution (https://www.crankrevolution.com/), 1744 Algonquin Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192. Race day packet pickup on Sunday is at Paul Douglas Forest Preserve (Race Day Site) from 7:30AM onward. We recommend Saturday to beat the crowds!
Parking
One vehicle per team, please! This way all teams will have a place to convene when they're not racing, and a place to go just in case of severe weather. There will be limited parking at the Grassy Ridge Meadow lot, with additional parking at DMG MORI USA and BIG DAISHOWA Inc off of S. Freeman Rd. There will be parking signs at all the parking entrances and additional signs leading to them. There will also be racer, spectator, and volunteer signs leading to the main event area.
