Weather Preparedness
* We will do everything we can to safely conduct the race.
* The race will take place rain or shine.
* If there is severe weather (including lightning) at the start time, or there is not a reasonable window of expected time to complete the race without severe weather, the race start may be delayed.
* If the race is delayed, it will not begin until there has been no lightning in the area for at least 30 minutes.
* Due to other needs and scheduled events at Fairview Park on July 4th, the race will not begin later than 8AM. If the race cannot start by 8AM we will unfortunately have to cancel.
If the race has already started and there is severe weather (including lightning), the race will be terminated at that point. All athletes still on course should seek shelter. No additional finishers will be permitted, the timing equipment will be shut off.
If the race is cancelled there will not be refunds. You can of course still pick up the shirt you requested at registration.
