1. What is included in my registration fee?
In addition to their race bib, participants receive a race day t-shirt* (sizes and current shirt guaranteed if ordered prior to May 1st), a chance to win a door prize, and post-race celebrations that include lunch.
2. Tell me more about the post-race celebration!
Our post-race celebration is one of the best around. Not only do you get lunch and a chance to congratulate and hang out with the other participants, but you also have a chance to win the door prize, one of up to 50 different raffle baskets, or 50-50. It really is a fun time!
3. Can I attend the post-race celebration even if I did not participate in the race?
We ask for non-race participants to make a $10 donation to attend the post-race celebration, this includes lunch.
4. Are there parking and restrooms?
Yes, parking and restrooms are located at the start/finish line at 400 Old Route 68, Evans City PA 16033
5. Are dogs allowed?
Yes, we allow dogs during our race! For the safety and comfort of all participants, we ask that dogs remained leashed during the event. There will be water and treat stations for our four-legged friends during the race.
6. Are strollers allowed?
Yes, please bring those little ones! We kindly ask for the safety of all participants that if you are participating with a stroller that you you either start at the rear of the event or at the left or right of the field.
7. Who was Patti J. Nelson?
Patti was a local philanthropist who provided energy and resources to many organizations in our community, with a special love for the Evans City Public Library. Help us honor her legacy by supporting the foundation and it's benefactory, the Evans City Public Library. Patti was the mom of our race director, Cassie, so this race holds a special meaning for her.
8. Tell me more about the Evans City Public Library
The library is a community resource for those in Callery, Evans City Borough, Forward Township and other visitors. In addition to the typical library activities, there have been Meal Planning and Ancestry workshops, Mail Art exhibits, Breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, and Creative Art displays. Governmental agencies provide operating costs for only half of the year. This is supplemented by fundraising activities, donations, fund drives, and the Patti J. Nelson Foundation.
