Description

Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Freedom Field Park (see location details on map below) for the Dash-O-Lantern Halloween Costume 5K Run/Walk, proudly supporting the non-profit organization, Advocates for Children. All proceeds from this race will go towards supporting Advocates in their ongoing efforts to provide Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for abused and neglected children within the Bartholomew, Decatur, and Jennings counties. With your help we will be able to spread #thepowerfulvoice of the CASA movement and provide hope to the 100+ children that still await to have a CASA stand behind them.

This is a family and stroller friendly event! We highly encourage you to come and show off your best Halloween costumes!

Packet Pick Up will be available on event day starting 9am. Same day registration will open at 9am. The 5k RUN will start at 10:00am, WALK will follow 15 minutes later. Water, bananas, and Halloween candy for the little ones will be provided at the finish line.  YOU CAN HELP by registering as an individual, forming a team, sponsoring, or donating funds!

Gather your family and friends and register! Groups of 4+ people receive special pricing and you will save on registration fees, as well! Online registration closes October 14th, 2020! T-shirts guaranteed to participants registered by Friday, 10/9.

Pets/bikes/skateboards/scooters/roller blades or skates are NOT permitted on the course.

Sponsors

Advocates for Children

Advocates for Children provides volunteer advocates who are appointed by the Judge to represent the best interest of abused and neglected children in order to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, loving, and permanent home and to grow up in a ‘forever family’. This will enable these children to grow into emotionally and physically healthy adults, who can then develop into productive members of our community.
