Do I have to be a runner to participate?
NO! The Pinehurst Color Fun Run event is all about a color crazy day with friends and family. You can run or walk!
What is included with my registration?
Pick your Experience!!! Every registered runner will receive a Race Kit complete with sunglasses, a starter color packet, a race bib, race shirt and medal. Upgrade your experience to include deluxe color, tie dye race shirt and tickets to the Small Bites and Flights After Party at Pinehurst Brewing Company.
Can children participate?
Absolutely! Running, jogging, walking, or strolling the three miles of the course, they are more than welcome to participate in the Color Fun Run! Strollers are welcome, but we ask that you start at the back of the crowd for safety reasons and remind you to please be courteous and aware of your fellow participants.
Are pets allowed to run/walk with me?
For the safety of all participants and animal friends, we do not allow pets on the course.
How do I get my race kit?
Race Kit pick-up will be held on Friday 6/28/2019 from 4pm-8pm

Where do I park?
Carolina Hotel, Pinehurst Country Club, or Village of Pinehurst
How is the color administered along the course?
You will see smiling faces along the course whose main goal is to douse you in colorful powder to ensure that you look like you ran through a beautiful rainbow by the time you cross the finish line.
Will the color ruin clothes or running shoes?
The color does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful and making sure to wash your color run items separate from your other laundry.
Do you have a cleaning station at the end of the event?
We have industrial fans to help blow off the colored powder. With a good dusting off, you aren’t 100% clean, but you are good for the drive home. It is actually pretty fun to see people still colorful around town after the event. It is like a badge of honor!
How does the color affect the inside of cars?
Our advice to you: bring some towels for the insides of the cars, or a change of clothes just in case.
Are cameras and phones safe to have in the color zones?
We recommend covering cameras/phones with a protective dust wrap. Those colorful powder particles are sneaky, and Pinehurst Resort is not liable for any damage that might be done to your camera!
Are there refunds?
If an event is held as advertised, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up!
Can I transfer my registration to another person?

What if I am pregnant?
It’s totally up to what you and your doctor decide. The powder is all certified non-toxic. We recommend wearing sunglasses or goggles, and a bandana over your mouth and nose in the color zones just for extra protection.
What happens if there is bad weather?
This is a rain or shine event. However, in the event of inclement weather the event will be delayed in hopes of the weather passing.
What is the race route?
The race will begin in front of the iconic Carolina Hotel, take guests throughout the Village, and it will end right at the Pinehurst Brewing Company.
