Wave Start / Corral System
- The Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K offers a self-seeded system for this event. We ask participants to sort themselves in whichever corral area best suits them; the corral areas are setup by pace per mile. We ask that participants please be courteous and start in a time that matches their running pace so that everyone has an enjoyable experience during the race.
Pace Groups
The Publix Savannah Women’s Half will have pace groups for the race. Pace group leaders will be holding signs with the appropriate time on their card. You can join a pace group by joining up at the start line or you can find out more information at the Fashion Fitness Expo table for pace groups.

Making Corral Changes
- The start line corral system allows for a smooth race start for participants of varying levels. Based on the estimated pace you plan to run/walk you will line up with other participants of similar running pace.
Gear Check
- Before you enter your assigned corral, drop off your pre-race/post-race clothing and belongings at the Gear Check. While you run, your gear will be held at Gear Check. Participants may pick up their Gear Check bag at the Fashion & Fitness Expo when you pick up your packet or on race day at the Gear Check tent. The Gear Check tent will be located inside Forsyth Park near the post-race party area near the solutions/packet pick-up tent. Write your bib number on your bag in the space provided on the bag before you leave it with the Gear Check crew. After the race, reclaim your checked bag at the designated Gear Check area. Please note: DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your gear bag. The event is not responsible for any lost items. Gear bags must be claimed before close of the Finish Line Festival on race day at 12:00 PM.
