Brightstar Downtown 5K

IMPORTANT RACE UPDATE 4am 9/13:

We have been carefully monitoring the forecast through the night and this morning. The current forecast predicts a high probability of lightning during our race window.
 
For the safety of our participants and volunteers, we have made the decision to postpone the Brightstar Downtown 5K on September 13th and will look to reschedule with the city of Providence as soon as possible. 
 
We will meet with our partners at the City of Providence to confirm a new date and will share that information via email and social media. 
 
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to confirming the new date and running Downtown PVD with you all.

RACE INFORMATION

Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Downtown 5K start time: 10:00 a.m.
Youth races start time: 9:00 a.m.

There will be two youth races for boys and two races for girls for ages 1 to 5 (100 yards) and ages 6 to 10 (1/4 mile).
Start location: Memorial Blvd,, Providence, Rhode Island.

Chip timing. T-shirts for all entrants.

For safety reasons, please follow these safety rules. No pets allowed. Baby strollers are allowed for walkers only. Walkers will line up at the back for the start of the 5k. Thank you.
