Route Notification
RUN(317) is thrilled to be running through the beautiful Town of Speedway
on the evening of Thursday, September 26.
On Thursday, September 26th, we are excited to have runners/walkers from all over the Indianapolis area spend their evening in Speedway. The RUN(317) series is designed to showcase different cities within the (317) area code. This will be our 5th year in Speedway to showcase all that Speedway has to offer.
Starting at 7 p.m., participants will run (or walk) 3.17 miles through Speedway.
RUN(317) is proud to be a part of the (317) area code community of Indiana. The run/walk is not only helping people become active and exercise, but it has committed to support a different charity at each event. RUN(317) will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the Speedway event to the Speedway Lions Club and is proud to have the support of many of the local businesses who will also be donating to the cause.
The 3.17-mile event the evening of Thursday, September 26 will need to have some temporary street restrictions:
· Number of Expected Participants: 1,800, 100 volunteers
· Race Time: The race will begins at 7:00 pm and completed by 9:00 pm. See information below or accompanying map for specific information regarding your area of the course.
· Partial Road Closures: Participants will be running and walking on the entire road, or one half of the road around some of the course. Some areas will be temporarily closed. If you have plans on race evening, please be aware that alternative routes may be needed to be taken that night.

· Main Street between 14th St and 12th Street (3:00 PM-9:30 PM)
· Main Street between 12th Street and Gilman St (6:00 PM – 8:40 PM)
· 13th Street between Main St and the alley east of 4918 13th Street (3:00 PM – 9:30 PM)
· 12th Street at Main Street (6:00 PM – 8:40 PM)
· Southbound Main Street from Gilman Street to 10th Street (6:50 PM – 7:20 PM)
· Westbound curb lane of 10th Street from Main Street to Lynhurst Dr. (6:50 PM – 7:30 PM)
· Northbound curb lane of Lynhurst Dr. from 10th Street to 16th Street (7:00 PM – 7:40 PM)
· Eastbound curb lane of 16th Street from Lynhurst Dr. to Main Street (7:00 PM – 7:55 PM)
· Main Street from W. 16th Street to Crawfordsville/16th St roundabout – (7:05 PM – 8:00 PM)
· Eastbound Crawfordsville Rd from Lynhurst Dr to Main St. (7:05 PM – 8:00 PM)
· Eastbound 16th Street from Main Street to Polco St (7:05 PM – 8:05 PM)
· Southbound Polco St. from 16th St. to 10th Street (7:05 PM – 8:10 PM)
· Westbound curb lane of 10th Street to from Polco St. to Allison Way (7:05 PM – 8:10 PM)
· Northbound Allison Way from 10th St. to Gilman St. (7:10 PM – 8:20 PM)
· Westbound Gilman Street from Allison Way to Main St. (7:10 PM – 8: 20 PM)
· Northbound Main Street from Gilman to 12th Street (FINISH) (6:00 PM – 8:40 PM)
