Time Trial Info
The Red Solo Run is a time trial 5k that allows participants a chance to compete against the clock, themselves, and be timed officially then scored against other participants all while maintaining social distancing. To do this we have to follow a few critical steps.
Registering:
When you register you will pick an available start time. We will start all participants 5 minutes apart and exactly at their assigned start time. If late you may not get to participate and will forfeit any refunds.
Packet Pick Up:
Please pick up packets within 30 minutes to your start time. This allows plenty of time to get your packet, your bib on, drop off your packet in a vehicle and finish any warm up. If others are getting their packet when you arrive just hang back and wait until they disperse. Numbers are very limited so there will be little to no wait.
Spectators:
There is info on the cheer section of the site, but we will NOT allow any spectators outside of your household. If you have household members coming to spectate do not bring them to pick up packets. We will assign a cheer spot for them to help cheer on the course. We ask that they stay in their assigned spot as others will be in other spots. Maintain social distancing throughout the run.
Passing on the Course:
When passing other participants please do so leaving 6+ ft between you and them. Go wide and around and get ahead before sinking back into the course line. If being passed please fall back-don't try to hang or race with anyone. This is critical to keep the event safe, and do our part in NOT spreading COVID-19.
Post Race:
When you finish you are welcome to snag a pick under the custom finish (it's a fun one) and snag your very unique red neck finishers medal, rehydration choice, and then head out. This assures others can safely race and have the same finish experience.
