By registering for the Joshua’s Wish Gold Ribbon Trail 5K Run/Walk and related activities, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event and assume all risks associated with participation.

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby waive, release, and discharge Joshua’s Wish, Inc., Mount de Sales Academy-Cavalier Fields, the event timing company, RunSignup, event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, staff, contractors, and all affiliated representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in this event, including injuries, illness, property damage, or death occurring before, during, or after the event.

I understand that participating in a trail run/walk event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, uneven terrain, weather conditions, contact with other participants, wildlife, traffic, and other hazards associated with outdoor physical activity. I certify that I am physically able and properly prepared to participate and agree to follow all event rules, course markings, and instructions from race officials and volunteers.

In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency during the event, I authorize event officials and emergency personnel to secure medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

I grant permission to Joshua’s Wish and its partners to use photographs, video, audio recordings, or images of me taken during the event for promotional, educational, or fundraising purposes in print, digital, or social media formats without compensation.

I understand that all registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including in the event of weather-related cancellation, natural disaster, emergency conditions, or circumstances beyond the control of the event organizers. Event details, including course routes, schedules, and locations, are subject to change without notice if necessary for participant safety or operational needs.

By submitting my registration, I acknowledge that I have carefully read, understand, and voluntarily agree to this waiver and release. If registering a participant under the age of 18, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and agree to these terms on the minor’s behalf.
