1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:

Falls
Collisions with participants, spectators, or vehicles
Weather conditions
Surface and course hazards
Equipment failure
Acts or omissions of the Released Parties
Any other risks typically associated with running events

I certify that I am physically fit, sufficiently trained, and able to safely participate. I agree to comply with all instructions from race officials regarding my ability to complete the Event safely.

2. Medical Authorization
In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency during the Event, I authorize the Event Director and Released Parties to secure medical care deemed necessary for my immediate treatment. I am solely responsible for all related medical costs, including transportation, evaluation, treatment, hospitalization, and medications.

3. Waiver and Release of Liability
I hereby waive, release, and forever discharge The Institute of Diving, Inc. d/b/a Man in the Sea Museum, the City of Panama City, Florida, the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC), the Event Director, RunSignup.com, all event sponsors, partners, vendors, contractors, volunteers, employees, officers, board members, and agents, and all organizations and individuals assisting with or connected to the Event (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this Event.
This release includes, but is not limited to, all injuries, death, or property damage occurring before, during, or after the Event, whether caused by negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise. This release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

4. Media Release
I grant full permission to the Released Parties to use my name, image, voice, likeness, race results, photographs, video, or digital recordings for any legitimate promotional, educational, or reporting purposes in print or electronic media.

5. No Refunds / Event Changes / Force Majeure
I understand and agree: All entry fees are non‑refundable and non‑transferable, regardless of circumstances.
The Event may be postponed, modified, or canceled due to weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond the control of the Released Parties. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued if the Event is canceled or altered for any reason. The Event organizers may change event details without prior notice.

6. Agreement for Minors
If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to and sign this waiver. By submitting this entry, the parent/guardian affirms the minor’s participation is voluntary and assumes all risks on their behalf.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to this Release of Liability, Waiver, and Assumption of Risk.
