By registering for and participating in the Intentional Fathers Showing Up Walk, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in a community-based walking event hosted at the Milwaukee County Zoo. In consideration of being permitted to participate, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound, waive and release any and all claims for injuries, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from or related to my participation in the event against the Event Organizers, What’s Next LLC, Ready to Live, the Milwaukee County Zoo, RunSignup.com, sponsors, volunteers, partners, staff, and representatives associated with the event.

I understand that this is a community walk, not a race. Participants will walk along designated zoo pathways and are expected to follow all posted signs, staff directions, and event guidelines throughout the experience. Running on the pathway is not permitted. I understand that participation in any public event involves certain risks, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, animals and environmental conditions within the zoo setting, and other unforeseen circumstances that may arise before, during, or after the event. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with participation.

I certify that I am physically able to participate in this walking event and understand that I am responsible for determining my own physical readiness, as well as the readiness of any minor children or individuals under my supervision participating with me.

In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency during the event, I authorize event staff and emergency personnel to secure appropriate medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical care, transportation, or treatment provided.

Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and safely throughout the event and while visiting the Milwaukee County Zoo. All participants must follow zoo rules, remain on designated pathways, and comply with instructions from zoo staff, event volunteers, and safety personnel.

I also grant permission for the use of my name, likeness, image, voice, and photographs or video footage taken during the event for promotional, marketing, educational, and media purposes related to the Intentional Fathers Showing Up Walk, Ready to Live, and What’s Next LLC without compensation or further approval.

All registration fees are non-refundable. Event registration includes participation in the walk, event activities, event giveaways while supplies last, zoo admission, and parking. The Event Organizers reserve the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, emergencies, public health guidance, or circumstances beyond their control. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.

By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have carefully read and fully understand this waiver and release. I voluntarily agree to its terms on behalf of myself and any minor child or participant for whom I am registering.
