In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that participation in a road race, trail run, cross-country race, or similar athletic event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, uneven terrain, weather conditions, traffic, contact with other participants, wildlife, and other hazards that may result in injury, illness, property damage, permanent disability, or death. I certify that I am physically able to participate in this event and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Thomas University, RunSignup, event sponsors, volunteers, officials, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, or damages arising out of or related to my participation in the event.
In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize Thomas University and its representatives to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for all costs associated with such treatment.
I grant Thomas University permission to use photographs, video, audio recordings, or other images of me taken during the event for promotional, educational, fundraising, or other lawful purposes without compensation.
I understand that event registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Thomas University reserves the right to modify, postpone, reroute, or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond its control, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.
By registering for this event, I confirm that I have read and understand this waiver and voluntarily agree to its terms. If I am registering a participant under the age of 18, I certify that I am the participant's parent or legal guardian and agree to these terms on the minor's behalf.
